I-DCP Intrinsically Safe Duplex Controller is specifically designed and approved for Class 1, Division 1, Group D Hazardous Operation. A low voltage control module incorporate with a 4-channels intrinsically safe barrier (ISB-4) to operate the start/stop of the pumps, with one pump operating to handle normal flow. A a second pump becomes operational in the event the water level continues to rise. A built-in alarm system in the control module will sound when the water level reaches a high level. In case of a duty pump being switched off under overload, high temperature, or seal leakage - the controller will automatically start the backup lag pump.

The Intrinsic Barrier generates extremely low voltage in the float circuit, which will prevent hazardous materials from igniting. For more information see sections ISB.
